The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it really is alarmed about the higher variety of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial sassa status check amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The service issue designed for intervention experiences a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to empower the servicing of all clients and maximize entry to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
